Stay at home mom

Well, this has been my first week at home with Brinley. It has been great being able to sleep in until she gets up, 6:30 if I'm lucky. But then I don't have to get myself ready right away, which has been nice. It's great being able to play with her when she's awake, and actually get things done when she's napping. I love that I don't have to worry about work or lesson plans, I can just focus on my family. This is such a blessing that I am able to stay home.

An Ending, and a Beginning

Well, I just finished my last day of teaching. I've really enjoyed being a teacher. It has brought me such satisfaction, and some frustration too. I'm sad to be leaving, but am really excited to begin my life as a stay-at-home mom. I'm glad that I'm able to be at home with Brinley.

Brinley's first "real" food

We've been slowly introducing Brinley to food. We've started with rice cereal. These pictures are of her first experience eating from a spoon. She really enjoyed it, even if she did make a mess. The problem is, she doesn't like it anymore. We have to hide it in her milk.
