Winter

It seems like January and February are always pretty uneventful. Here are a few things that helped fill these cold winter months.

We didn't have too many snow storms so this is the only time Brinley was able to play outside in her snowsuit.

Joy School really helped break up the monotony of winter. These are from her Valentine's Day party.

Brinley also attended "Tumbling Tots" for 6 weeks. At first she was really hesitant and nervous about participating, but after a couple classes she was running around and loving it.

We attempted to get some good photos of the whole family, None of them were great, but these ones are pretty good. I just love this cute family of mine, even if William did refuse to smile.

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Shortly after opening a mountain of presents at Christmas, we celebrated Brinley's birthday.  A few weeks previously I asked her what kind of cake she wanted. She told me a purple and pink princess cake. Well, I decided to make my first attempt at fondant. Probably should have practiced first, but at least Brinley loved it anyway.
I can't believe this beautiful, precocious little girl is already 3. We love having her in our family and can't imagine life without this little ball of energy.

William's First Christmas

This last Christmas was spent at my parents' home. It was so nice having all of my family there. Especially since we are not sure when we will be able to come back after we move this summer. Unfortunately we managed to leave the house without the camera, so all of the pictures we have are courtesy of my parents and brother.
Brinley was so excited this Christmas, now that she is starting to understand what is happening better. We'd been watching "The Polar Express" movie about everyday leading up to the holiday.  This was her choice, for some reason she absolutely loved it. For a month at least she would walk around singing  the songs from the movie. Remarkably she sang them on key, and knew most of the words.
William, being only 6 months was happy just playing with stray wrapping paper and pulling himself around.
It was a great Christmas, full of family, snow, and too many presents.
