Bear Lake Reunion 2013

A few weeks ago was my mom's family's annual reunion at Bear Lake. We were able to spend the weekend there and had a fun time. It was full of games, activities, and food. Brinley wasn't as brave as last year, she only stuck her toes in the lake a couple of times. She had a blast with the "sand" though.  Here are some pictures to document the weekend.

Utah County Fair

In an attempt to break up the monotony of our lives, we went the the Utah County Fair. We wanted Brinley to see all the animals. As we were walking up Brian said the smell reminded him of his own time at the fair as a kid in 4-H. Brinley was really excited to see all of the animals. However, she didn't enjoy the rooster crowing right in front of her. The highlight of the trip for Brian was the pigs. As we were walking by an outside enclosure of about 6 large pigs, they were trying to lift the temporary gate. I asked Brian what would happen if they got out. Well, we soon found out. Right after walking by them they managed to get the gate open. Brian ran up and blocked their path around the building just as two fair workers came running. It was quite the experience.

William's Blessing

We blessed William on August 4th. My parents, grandma, and sister-in-law were all able to make it. Unfortunately Brian's family all live too far away to attend. William was so great during his blessing. There is always the worry that they will cry, but that wasn't a problem at all. A special memory of the day was that he was awake the whole time and was just smiling up at Brian. That's my sweet little boy. I am so glad he has joined our family.
