This year, I thought it would be fun to go to the big easter egg hunt put on by the city. It was supposed to begin at 10:30 so we were walking around the packed field about 10:10, when suddenly all of the kids started running for the eggs. For some reason a few kids went, and then all of the others followed and they couldn't stop them. By the time we made it into the field, the eggs were all gone. I took Brinley around to look, and a couple kids gave Brinley some of their extra eggs. It was so sweet. I was feeling extra emotional that morning so it almost brought tears to my eyes. We then found out that there was still another hunt for kids under 3. We went down to that one, but by the time it started so many people had cut in front of me that once again the eggs were all gone by the time we got to them. We've decided it's so much nicer to just do a hunt ourselves, or with a few friends or family.
After the easter egg hunt disaster, we came home and dyed eggs. Brinley loved dropping the eggs in the colored dye. The excitement on her face when a colored egg came out was so adorable. However, if it were up to her, every egg would have been pink.
Easter Sunday Pics. I love that Easter is the one time a year that girls, no matter their age, get a new dress.
This is the only family shot we got where she is actually "smiling", even if she is grabbing my necklace.
Here's the belly bump picture: 28.5 weeks, just entering the 3rd trimester.
