Seriously?!

Yesterday Brian and I were heading out to do some shopping. I was standing by the door waiting to lock it because Brian had the keys. He tried to toss them to me and missed. I thought that the worst that could happen is that they end up in the slushy snow. I was wrong the worse thing that could happen was that they end up on the roof. I guess he didn't realize how light they were. They soared right over my head and onto the roof. The only solution we could come up with is to get a broom and try to push them off. After about 6 attempts, we finally heard the clink of the keys as they hit the ground. Now every time I see the roof I laugh.

We only have one more week left before Christmas Break. For Brian that means finals, for me that means hyper/excited kids. We are both looking forward to relaxing over the break.

Thanksgiving memories

We have been looking forward to Black Friday for a few months so we were really excited to get the ads and scope out our desired purchases. We got up bright and early to go shopping. Brian went with my brother to Walmart to get movies and a few other things. I went with my sis-in-law to Shoe Carnival to get a $10 off coupon. It was exciting to find such good deals.
On our last night in Idaho we decided to give the guys a blind-folded taste test using baby food. It was a lot of fun seeing their reactions and hearing their guesses. We had peas, banana, green beans, macaroni and cheese, pears, and squash. Brian successfully named 4 of them. He missed Mac and Cheese and green beans. After seeing the pure disgusted reaction to Mac and Cheese, we all decided to give it a try. It was really nasty. My verdict: baby food is meant for babies who don't have refined tastebuds.

Before we left we put up the Christmas tree at my parent's house. It was nice to be able to get into the Christmas spirit. Now it's a countdown until Christmas Break! Only two weeks away.

Two more days!

We have been counting down to Thanksgiving Break for the last couple of weeks. We are so excited that it is only 2 days away. The last week has been very busy for Brian. He has had tests and papers due all week. He still has another paper to finish before the break.
This weekend we were able to have a special experience. We had Stake Conference and Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles came to reorganize our stake presidency. It was so great to be in the presence of one of the apostles of the Lord. I really enjoyed listening to him and feeling the spirit that he carried.
We will have a busy couple of days, preparing for break, but we look forward to having the time off to celebrate the holiday with my family in Idaho.
