One month birthday!

Brinley is one month old today. In that month she has grown a lot. She has already outgrown 2 of her newborn outfits and is wearing some 3 month outfits, although those are still too big for her. She is getting closer to smiling at us when she is awake. We are really excited for that to happen. She has also been on her first walk, in the stroller. We had a nice, sunny day so we bundled her up (see pic) and went around the block. She slept through most of it, but it was nice to get out and breathe some fresh air. Here are a few pics from her first month of life.

This was after her bath. If you look at her hair you can tell it is curly when wet. I wonder what it will look like when it grows.

Almost 2 weeks already

I can't believe Brinley is almost 2 weeks old. Time is a weird thing. In some ways it seems to have flown by. It also seems like forever ago that I was checking into the hospital. It was really nice having my mom here to help out last week.

I haven't had much sleep, but I think she is starting to get on a better night-time schedule. I actually get 2 hour stretches of sleep most nights. Of course Brinley is getting cuter everyday. Sometimes I just can't stop looking at her and the cute faces she makes.

Brinley Ann is Here!

After much anticipation and preparation, we have finally welcomed into our home our beautiful daughter, Brinley Ann. After 3 sleepless nights full of painful, "irregular" contractions, I knew I couldn't do another night of them. At about midnight Wednesday/Thursday I told Brian we needed to go to the hospital, half expecting to be sent back home anyway. They kept me an hour and saw that i was making progress, so they decided to admit me. About 14 hours later Brinley was finally born.

From the first time we saw her we loved her and thought she was/is the most beautiful, perfect baby on the planet. She was 7 lbs 2 oz. and 19 inches long. She was born on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 4:36 pm.

We have her home now and can't believe the changes we see in her everyday. She just keeps getting cuter and cuter, even if she doesn't understand that night-time is for sleeping.
